Randy Rivera Had A Break Out Game Week 7 vs Corona Panthers With One Touchdown And Over 100 Yards Receiving
If you don’t know who Randy Rivera is by now you definitely will be hearing more of him every week. Rivera is a very explosive athlete capable of striking at any time. With 4.6 speed and great hands the kid is definitely the future of Roosevelt football. Randy Rivera is a 2019 athlete with just over two years to improve so you can imagine how scary that can be to opposing defenses.
This past Friday the sophomore receiver showed the results of all his offseason training. In his first game out versus the #7 team in the country (Corona) Centennial Huskies Randy caught a total of 5 balls totaling just over 40 yards. Now if you know Cen10 then you are aware that positive yards on that defense is not easy especially if its your first game of the season. Rivera was forced to sit out the first five games of the season due to transferring from Chino Hills high school the previous year. Following week 6 Rivera exploded in game 7 vs cross town rivals Corona Panthers. The kid caught 15 passes from quarterback Jeremy Moussa for over 150 yards and 1 trip to the end zone. Randy continued to train throughout the first five weeks in order to stay sharp for his debut. We are definitely looking forward to more from Rivera this coming 7on7 season as one of our top athletes.
