The Explosive Athletic Training 7on7 Team Getting More Work In Long Beach This Past Weekend

This past Saturday our boys traveled to Long Beach to compete against the Epic Strong 7on7 training program in preparation for this up coming 7on7 season. Fortunately the weather allowed us to compete with no rain. Although the field was still a little muddy it was an overall good workout. Our DB’s faced a pretty tough challenge by being forced to be become sure-footed due to the muddy surface. Epic Strong’s offensive skill guys had the home field advantage so the fellas had to stay on their toes. All in all the defense was again pretty dominant and had a great time. Check out their little high light.

This past weekend spectators had the luxury of watch young gunslinger Shane illingsworth the touch downs as if he’s been doing it for years. Both Aiga Flash & Aiga Thunder dominated each team they faced. Going into the final round Both teams had the option of flipping a coin to decide who would face Pylon 14U champions Rhare Breed. Winning the toss Aiga Thunder faced Rhare Breed winning by more than 2 touchdowns setting up the championship round to be a face off between Thunder and Flash.

In true team fashion both teams decide instead of playing each other for the title E.A.T.C. IE’s Best, they would share not only the championship trophy, but both defensive and offensive MVP trophies. Congratulations to the Aiga teams.
